STAND North Wales was formed by Yvonne Brookes and Sarah McCulloch as a not for profit Community Interest Company in response to the closure of organisations representing families of children and young adults with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Additional Needs and Disabilities in North Wales.
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Re: Corona-virus
During the current situation with the Corona-virus, we just wanted to let you know what we have in place for families at this time.
We are holding a parent forum through our FB page every Monday and Wednesday from 10.00 – 12.00. We will be available at these times to talk about anything you wish or to get ideas and information, you just need to be on our FB page at those times to join in by typing comments to the discussions. Grab a cuppa and join us.

We have a new Fb page called Stay, play and learn with Stand NW. This is where we share ideas for activities that are low cost / no cost and ask parents to share pictures of children’s makes to share ideas at this time.

From Tuesday 31st March we will be setting a weekly challenge on this page for children, young people and adults to join in. There will be challenges for all sorts of things. The challenge will be posted on a Tuesday morning by 10.00 and you will have all week to complete and post your pictures and or videos to the page.
From Thursday the 2nd April we will have a live jingle rhyme and story time with Sarah from 10.30. Sarah will be sharing songs and taking requests as well as sharing a story.
We have slots available for telephone calls if you have any concerns or questions if you would like to speak with us. You can email [email protected] and [email protected] to book a slot.
In the background we are also making resource packs for anyone that would benefit from some visuals and social stories being sent out at this time. If there is something you think would benefit you to support you, please get in touch and we will do our best to support you.
